The Diploma in Computer Engineering (C.E.) encompasses various areas related to computation, including algorithm analysis, programming languages, program design, software, and computer hardware. The Computer Department at K. D. Polytechnic institute was established in the year 2001. The department adopts teaching-learning methods such as lecture-cum-discussions, laboratory work, tutorials, assignments, seminars, field visits, finishing school training, and project work to effectively deliver the curriculum designed by Gujarat Technological University.

The department has well-qualified faculty members to cater to the academic and overall development needs of students. It possesses well-equipped classrooms and advanced laboratories for programming, database design, web development and networking as per AICTE norms and standards.
