Placement
activities are executed in various modes. One is through campus Interview at institute and second is mega
drive for placement at District level well organized by KCG (Knowledge
consortium of Education department. Placement also occurs through Pull campus and off
campus interview.
K. D.
Polytechnic, TPO cell is trying for acquisition of talented students from the
Campus. The Placement Cell in the institute has been operational with providing
counselling to the students for their career development and arranging campus
placement drives with prestigious industries to provide best opportunities to
students.

PLACEMENT PROCEDURE:
·
Approach to company representative by T&P
coordinators through email / telephonic conversion.
·
Confirmation about job specification and number of
recruitments for specific criteria from HR department of different companies.
·
Share recruitment details with respective students
via T&P coordinators & collect eligible students list with required
format
·
Arrange pre-placement talk
·
Aptitude/technical (Online/Offline) test will be
conducted.
·
Aptitude/technical tests result will be declared.
·
Group discussion is arranged for the shortlisted
candidates, if required.
·
Interviews are taken by industry person on the same
day or within week on campus or at company premises.
·
Final result will be declared by company
representative will be displayed on website as well as email to selected
candidates.
·
If Off campus/ pull campus is there, the list of
concern students will be provided to the concern industry / host institute by
email.
·
The details of off campus placement will be shared
to the concern students to be appearing for the interview.
·
Executing an interview at institute with liaison of
company representatives and TPO cell.
Guideline for students:
a) Students should be well groomed
with formal dress
b) Boys: Shirt, trouser (Jeans not
allowed), leather shoes
c) Girls: Either Punjabi dress or
Shirt and trouser (Jeans not allowed)
d) Students should carry following
documents

Latest
resume
·
All
original certificates and one attested copy of each of them
·
Two
passport size photographs
·
Envelopes
and stationary
e) Only those students will be allowed to appear in placement drive if
eligible as per company criteria.
f) Departmental coordinator for the placement activity will verify the
documents submitted by the
students. Only the approved students will be qualified for the placement.
g) Student should regularly check the notice board in their respective
department and placement website for any information regarding the T & P.
h) Students should report 30 minutes before the start of placement
activity
i) Students should regularly check email accounts, WhatsApp group and SMS
for any update regarding T & P.
j) Students should be in regular contact with their T & P
representative
k) Students should maintain discipline during campus placement
PLACEMENT FAIR ACTIVITY:
(A) Pre-Placement Fair:
·
The
education department of Gujarat state decides the Month, Date and venue of the
different placement fair to be held across the state.
·
The
education department activates the web portal for planning and real time
monitoring.
·
The
education department frame the guidelines and communicate its to the
participating Institutes.
·
Formation
of Placement fair team by Institute head and distribution of Office order.
·
The
TPO cell makes the team of staff members for
different route to be visited.
·
The
team members make the list of Industry to be visited nearby GIDC, companies etc
·
Registration
of final year students on web portal to participate in Placement fair.
·
Visit
to the different industries and vacancy data collection by the team members.
·
Emailing
the above data to the central portal team.
·
Verification
of above student and Industries data uploaded by the central portal team.
·
Correcting
the data if any discrepancy found by communicating to the Nodal officer of
Central portal team.
·
Documentation
of all the related information.
·
Formation
of different team by nodal officer and distribution of office order for
placement fair execution at host institute.
· Reporting and working at host institute as per direction of Nodal officer.
(B). During the Placement:

Reporting
at the host institute as per schedule
·
Working
at host institute for smooth execution of Placement fair.
·

Procedure:

Training
schedule and registration announced by training partners
·
Same
forwarded to the eligible students through Cell,Approved eligible student list
submitted to KCG.
·
KCG
issue the order for training,same will informed to students .Students are make
aware with training centre rules and essential instruction.
·
Certificates
are awarded to participant through parent institute,on successful completion of
training.
PLACEMENT
POLICY
·
Departmental T & P co ordinator /department training
and placement member has to prepare list of final year students.
·
List of final year student will be
indicative to consent in placement, higher study and none of both.
·
Training and placement cell
keep contact with recruiters directly or
indirectly,invites them for placement.
·
Eligible student list is provided
to company HR department fulfilling specific company criteria.
·
Departmental T & P co ordinator has to inform students
regarding placement by social media i.e whatsapp group , department notice board or on common platform
of institute general notice board .
·
Students got updates regarding
training and placement by T & P cell .
·
Students given consent in placement
are considered in placement.
·
Prior to interview ,students are
informed about company, rules and regulations, salary, working hours, place of
work etc.
· T & P cell members ,as per instruction of TPO will proceed during campus interview.
